The Nation Sports Complex in Limoges

In August 2021, La Nation council approved a budget of $14.5 M for the new Nation Sports Complex in Limoges. The municipality has conducted a $1 million Nation Gets in Shape fundraising campaign.

Work began in September 2021 on the multi-sport, indoor facility at 243 Limoges Road which includes a soccer field two-thirds of FIFA regulation size, a 250 meter walking track, and a community center hall, which can accommodate up to 150 people.

The facility was opened in March 2023.

At this time, several clubs are using the field and the Nation Recreation Department is accepting reservations for soccer, lacrosse, baseball, football and other leagues to use the play fields. The fields and the community hall (GFL Hall) can also be reserved for families or individuals.

Note that the track is free for 2025 and 2026.

The Centre de santé communautaire de l’Estrie introduces the Green Food Box in Limoges

The Green Food Box is a non-profit program that brings neighbouring communities together to buy a variety of quality fresh fruits and vegetables at a wholesale price. Green Food Box customers save money because we purchase our produce in bulk from trustworthy suppliers. When possible, we try to purchase all of our fruits and vegetables locally. Monthly baked bean suppers and BINGO

The baked bean suppers (macaroni and shepherd’s pie) are held on the last Friday of each month at the Community Centre, 205 Limoges Rd.

This is the ideal event to meet people from the community in a relaxed environment.

Supper is between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm and the buffet service starts at 5:00 pm. The draws are at 6:00 pm and the BINGO starts at 7pm.

Looking for 2 or 3 volunteers in the community that have website management experience to help support this community website – www.villagelimoges.ca.

We need to complement our current group to share the workload as this is a volunteer driven community website supported by the Limoges Web Site Committee.

We need your support primarily for website maintenance and improvements. The web site is maintained by the Word Press (web site management system) and knowledge of WordPress would be an asset.
